The Land of Whizzing
Arrows
Bolivia, South America.
“My friend is dead. There
is no food left. I am alone. And I am on a lake full of crocodiles.
Can it get any worse?”
In 1921, Leo Parcus set off on the
adventure of his life. But even he wasn’t ready for…
The Land of Whizzing Arrows.
Leo Parcus, the hero of the Land of Whizzing Arrows was
an officer in the German army during the first world war. Returning
to his hometown of Munich after the war had ended, he found he just
could not settle to ‘normal’ life. That’s why he
set off to the wilds of South America in search of adventure.
In 2005 Simon Chapman and the same team that looked for the Monster
of the Madidi set out across the
Bolivia Pampa in search of the Land of Whizzing arrows. Find out more
