Explorers Wanted
South Sea Islands
Your mission is to find out what wonderful
bird a very special feather belongs to. One metre long, glistening
metallic red that reflects as if lit up from inside when the
sun’s rays hit
it, this turned up at the bottom of an old display case in the
Berlin museum. There was a label that said Lunga islands: Pacific
Ocean. Nothing more...
Experts say it’s a tail plume. An old text about the South
Seas, that you found in the Museum’s
archives, talked of glittering golden birds that have no need for
feet as they come from heaven and never need to land.
Strange. The truth might be stranger. It’s up to you to
find out. Your job is to travel to the remote Lunga archipelago
and discover (or rediscover) the paradise bird with the red gold
plumes.
